The Latin Music Festival concert and The Route 66 celebration was the place to be on September 18, 2004, in San Bernardino, CA. The temperature was hot and the day-long festivities that attracted thousands of people was winding down and the deserts’ evening breeze was a welcoming relief. The night belonged to the music and celebration at the music festival at a local stadium. MALO was the headliner for the evening, along with five other bands. It was a great concert, and we were fortunate to record this event. These recordings were mixed live by Hector Gonzalez, using a British 40 input Allen Heath mixing consol. We had 32 dedicated microphone assignments including two microphones in the crowd. The East LA Revue Interned Radio would like to share this concert recording with you now. We had a great time, with two dance floors and great music.
The MALO musicians/vocalists included Arcelio Garcia, lead vocals; Jorge Santana, lead guitar; Octaviano, vocals; Julian Molina, bass; David George, drums; Gabriel Manzo, lead guitar; Justin Rosetti, second lead guitar; Daniel Cervantes, keyboards; Frank Bailey, lead trumpet; Pete Rodriguez, trumpet; Steve Rocha, trombone; Gibby Ross, timbales; and Tony Menjivar, congas.
So, please kick back and enjoy the music and feel the excitement that day. The MC for the event was Frankie Firme.
