DJ Doña Pancha ~ The “CLEAN-UP” Show

Greetings and welcome to The Clean-up Show on The East LA Revue. My name is Dona Pancha, also known as Janie C., and I am the host and DJ of this weekly music experience. I have a deep love for music and truly enjoy working with so many talented DJs, musicians, and music producers who contribute to our platform.

As a DJ, I take pride in carefully selecting and mixing songs for my listeners. My goal is to create an enjoyable, high-quality listening experience that reflects my passion for music. I hope my audience enjoys the sounds as much as I enjoy playing them. All of the music files we present represent the highest standards in audio quality, allowing listeners to play the shows at full volume without distortion.

The Clean-up Show features a wide variety of music styles, and I love to mix it up. My favorite genres include Rhythm & Blues, Oldies but Goodies, and classic Eastside Sound music, which continue to inspire generations of music lovers.

I was born in Texas, but my family moved to Los Angeles, California, during my early childhood. I attended school and worked near the Downtown Los Angeles area, where music culture was thriving. During the 1960s and 1970s, the Eastside scene was alive with dances, cruising, and unforgettable parties.

I was fortunate to experience live performances by legendary artists and bands such as Ike & Tina Turner, WAR, Cannibal & the Headhunters, Thee Midniters, Lalo Guerrero, Willie Bobo, Cal Tjader, Tierra, El Chicano, Malo, Linda Ronstadt, and Brenton Wood, among many others.

Today, I am honored to share this rich musical history with listeners through The Clean-up Show on The ELARevue, keeping the spirit of classic Eastside music alive for longtime fans and new audiences alike.
